Christmas Morning

I've got a bunch of photos to edit but I think this one sums up our Christmas pretty well so Merry belated Christmas to all of you.

Easy NC Ornaments

The 4th graders at Elijah's school are tasked with making NC inspired ornaments for the school trees.  Extra points are give for those who us NC products or things made/grown in NC.  Forgive me for not always having the best attitude about these things but I wanted an easy solution to this problem so we got plastic ornaments for less then a dollar a piece and wandered all around the pond beside our house picking up bits of this and that.  We found tine pine cones,  all sorts of seeds, leaves, pine straw, and all sorts of other bits.  Not only were they easy but the looked pretty.

Just Keep Swimming

First things first Emily got PreStar swimmer of the month.

Elijah had another big swim meet this past weekend.  He swam his first 100s in breast stroke and free style.  He was exhausted by the end but he finished.

He also won his heat in backstroke.

Bugs and Crumbs

I just didn't feel like making costumes this year so we bought them. Elijah was Bugs Bunny and Emily was Crumbs Sugar Cookie.

RSA Outbreak

Elijah had his first meet since joining RSA this past Saturday.  He is the one all the way at the top of this picture.  He still has a lot to work on but he has improved so much since August.

He's also really loving swimming again which is the real goal.  His coaches are great.  They make the kids work hard and do things correctly but also create a positive environment.

Saturday was this year's dance recital. Elijah was a farmer in a famous painting and an elephant. Emily was a blue bird. They also both got their 3rd year of dance awards.
