shoes and a shirt
Elijah is still a size 4 but he has managed to wear out not one but two fancy pairs of shoes so this time we went to rei for some more heavy duty shoes. Here's to hoping these last for a while. At least he won't need water shoes this summer as he can just wear his old falling apart shoes for water days at camp.
I made Elijah a new shirt. He likes it. The picture is a little funny bc we took it during breakfest and he didn't want to put be bothered much less put his fork down.

tired and busy
Don't worry life is still good we've just been busy busy busy. Here are the short photo blurbs in no particular order.
Wendy and I were friends when we were little before my family moved. Now we live close together and our daughters are only 2 months apart and are also friends. Thankfully her daughter Hannah is quite tollerant of Emily. She also has a 5 week old son whom I got to hold on Thursday while we were visiting. He was such a sweet little thing and just the right baby fix for me.
Elijah has been really into lego kits lately. He likes the ones where there is one thing you make out of the legos give. Almost like building models. This is the robot from the kit her got using a his gift card from Beca. We are going to get some shelves for his room so he can display his creations.
After an eventful morning Emily and I went up to Crabtree to check out H and M. Um I totally have a new fav mall. We went there and Forever 21 (I take back all the mean things I've said about this store) and had a blast. We even said hi to the Easter bunny though she chose not to sit on his lap. In the picture she is drinking a small berry blast cooler and wearing her new princess Tiana shoes.

9 years
Today is our 9th Anaversery. Neil remembered. I forgot. Oh well happy just the same.
Yesterday Emily wanted to go look at shoes. We tried some sandles but she walked funny in them so we decided to wait. I'm not sure when we will go back but I'm sure we will.
Its been beautiful outside lately. The other two are just playing outside pictures.

Party at La Farm
Elijah's 7th Birthday party was Sunday. We had a baking party at La Farm Bakery in Cary. It was so much fun and best of all I didn't have to lead the party or clean up after it. They made cinimon buns and cookies. Most of his friends were church friends plus one neighborhood friend and two family friends. All and all a great crowd.
Here's the link to the bakery.

Signs of Spring
Saturday was both the official first day of spring and the last day of the winter swim season. Elijah did well in time trials so well in fact that some obnacous kid said he was cheating. Sometimes I really can't stand some children.
Friday we did some grilling and playing outside. Emily's new favorite thing is climbing. On that note she has not yet made it out of her crib but is trying to claim Elijah's bed. This is actually a good thing bc his is more of a transition bed so we are going to get him a new bed and desk and put her in his for a few years till she is a bit bigger. We have the headboard to match her furnature but I like the idea of her being closer to the floor for a bit still.
Thursday we caught a picture of the ducks visit. There are 2 ducks at our pond that come on holiday to our side of the street every spring. Emily really likes them but they are less then sure about her.
Today is Elijah's actual party at La Farm so hopefully I will get some photos of that up tonight.

Fri and Sat
Emily and I met Chrissey and Alex for hair cuts and shopping on Friday. Emily was not thrilled but thankfully this time she let out one good scream then tollerated the process. She was also excited to get a purple bow and glitter spray. I was excited bc I found a beautiful new dress at the mall.
Today we went to M's Birthday party. It was a butterfly party and all the kids got wings and antenas. Emily liked her's Elijah was unwilling to wear wings but did wear green antena for a bit.

Ups and Downs
I should point out that blogger uploads my photos in whatever random order it wants and no longer lets me see them on the screen. So we have in no particular order.
The kids after we walked home from school in the pouring rain with no umbrella.
My lifetime charm from WW. I made lifetime last night which means I don't have to pay for it as long as I stay under my goal weight.
Emily climbing the monkey bars ladder. Great new skill she's developed.
Plus some bonus pictures of Emily playing with Elijah's umbrella while I was outside taking pictures of M's birthday dress.

Three more things
Elijah decided to use some of his money to buy himself a fancy candy apple at the meat house.
Neil got me a dress form for my birthday but it came in a clearly marked box so he decided I could go ahead and set it up. Now to learn how to use it.
Neil is also trying to get better at taking pictures of me. I made this outfit myself.
