I need music

So I'm having a slight problem. I am a musical person but not in the since that I make it well only that I love my ipod and need to relax. The really not so slight problem is that I'm bored with every single song one my ipod and every cd that I own. So my request is for suggestions. After all without Erin I wouldn't currently after more then 10 years be bored with my old indgo girls cd's. I mean its sad when I press skip on Virgina Wolf but its happened. So please please please songs and artists that you love new or old.

So, how much music do you want me to suggest? Because I could make a really long list. I mentioned two bands to you before. The Old Ceremony and The Rosebuds. Those are the ones we saw at the Troika festival. I've also really fallen in love with Lisa Loeb again, and there's a band called Shiny Toy Guns I really like too.

If you want some women musicians you might want to try The Ditty Bops, Polly Paulusma, and Imogen Heap. If you want some more rock like groups you could try Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists...uh..Dispatch...

I really could go on. If these don't do it for you, let me know, and I'll suggest more. I should probably just let you borrow my iPod, or have you come over so we can listen to the stuff I have.

Ohhh maybe you and your ipod can come over and play next week. I could come get you. I'll check out some of those in the meantime though. I need to update itunes since the wallet incident

Death Cab for Cutie is great. MGMT is fun and singable. Elbow is good for chilling out to. Johnny Cash is always good for nostalgia and a little old-school country never hurt. The Ting Tings are a lot of fun.

There is more. But I'm drawing a blank.

Kirk and I have been exploring new bands while re-visiting old friends... We love Old Ceremony, The Rosebuds, Pharmacists and Ted Leo. I've also been listening to alot of Violent Femmes and Duffy, and Katy Perry is starting to invade my brain...

My new favorite mix? Here it is:
Manic Monday - The Bangles
Faith - George Michael
The Look of Love, Pt 1 - ABC
Bust a Move - Young MC
Me & Mia - Pharmacists & Ted Leo
Shake our Tree - The Rosebuds
Call Me - Blondie
Cherry Bomb - The Runaways
P.U.N.K. Girl - Heavenly
Silver Lining - Rilo Kiley
Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramones
Shoop - Salt N Pepa
Jane - Bare Naked Ladies
Under the Milky Way - The Church
Prove My Love - Violent Femmes
Amsterdam - Guster
No Myth - Michael Penn
Gone Daddy Gone - Violent Femmes
Ball & Chain - Social Distortion
Nuthin' but a "G" Thang - Dr. Dre
Shiny Happy People - REM

Feel free to mix these at will. It is essential, though, that "Nuthin' but a G Thang" be followed by "Shiny Happy People" - Trust me.

Oops - Forgot "Pitseleh" by Eliot Smith, "Nice Fox" by The Rosebuds, "Blood and Oil" by The Old Ceremony, and the duo She and Him (it is Zooey Dechanel with M Ward - awesome combo, retro sound)

Yes, coming over next week sounds like a fine idea. I'll be able to drive over, since I've been having to drive Aaron to work. I'll bring over my computer, so we can check out most of what I have. My ipod doesn't hold all my music.

Shiny Toy Guns just came out with a new album that I'm really enjoying.
